Moving in

So I have decided per a suggestion from Erin to keep a blog of my life in NYC to update people on my life, keep in touch, and keep a record of my time here. Yesterday I moved in to my (small) new apartment. We spent all week packing up my mom's truck and drove up and we were EXTREMELY lucky to find a parking spot right in front of the building. Luckily the building has an elevator (a creepy old-timey one) which we used to bring everything up. My mom and brother left and Pietro came over to help me unpack/set up my futon. We went grocery shopping and stocked up a little on household items more so than food. Not everything got unpacked... This morning unpacked more while waiting for the internet technician and the mattress delivery guys, then spent the afternoon unpacking more, running to kmart for more household items, and setting up. Still not everything is unpacked... I am sitting on the floor while typing this with my back up against a very large box of books. The rest of my furniture will be delivered next week at which time I can finish unpacking. Tomorrow I am heading back home for father's day, and to pick up some more of my stuff that didn't fit. I will post more when I am fully unpacked and set up! In the mean time please enjoy pictures of the moving in process!
