Engagement Party

Pietro's roommates threw us an engagement party at their apartment last weekend and it was so much fun, just thought I'd share some pictures:

In case you haven't heard...

So as many of you have heard, Pietro popped the question this weekend :) Here I am going to post the full story of how it all went down:

So unbeknownst to me, apparently last weekend when we were in town for my friend Erin's wedding, Pietro used the fact that I was busy all day with Bridesmaid duties to speak to both of my parents and ask their permission.  He showed his roommates the ring on Monday and told him about his plan for this weekend.  So pretty much everyone but me knew...

I came from NY to visit Princeton for the weekend as per usual and interacted with his roommates both Friday night and Saturday morning, and they didn't give any indication that something was going on.  So Saturday morning, knowing that I love to take pictures of Princeton's beautiful campus, Pietro says "It's beautiful outside let's go study in Frist (the student center) and you can take your pictures on the way"  So as we're walking to Frist he points out this pretty garden park area called Prospect Gardens where he said they change the flowers everyday, this particular day it was filled with tulips in every color so we went in to look and take pictures.

Pietro says he wants to take a picture of me pretending to smell the flowers for his phone background.  As I'm bending down pretending to smell them he says "Ok don't move, don't move, ok I got the picture you can stand up." So I stood up and turned around to see him holding out the ring, at which point I just stared at it confusedly not processing what was happening.  I started crying as he got down on one knee and asked the question and I just kept saying "Seriously??" After a few minutes he reminded me I still hadn't answered but eventually I was able to get out the word "yes" :)

I've been on a grilled cheese kick lately because a little because I miss the days when I lived at home rent free and someone else fed me.  My dad makes LEGENDARY grilled cheeses and I've been experimenting with his recipe a little this week.  I have yet to try anything listed in the article but maybe next time!

My Best Friend's Wedding

So the past few weeks have been crazy! In addition school work getting insane with end of the semester projects, I have also been working and apartment hunting (found one! pics at a later date!!).  To add to all of that craziness my college roommate just got married yesterday!!! The last few days have been a blur of driving all over everywhere, meeting tons of their family, and doing all my bridesmaid duties.  But it all turned out perfectly! It was a beautiful ceremony with no major disasters and the reception was a blast.  I don't have many pictures yet but here are a few that have been posted so far:

Erin's brother caught the garter and they switched me with another groomsman once he was blindfolded... his reaction to the hairy leg was priceless :)

I am so happy for them words cannot describe.  I was there when she came back from the party where she met him, when she came back from their first date, and for many dates and anniversaries since.  It was beautiful to see the whole thing from beginning to marriage, I definitely got teary eyed at the ceremony.

Hi guys,

So there have been a lack of posts lately because I have been stressed with school and work and life in general... but here is a quick update of things that have happened...

-I went to my best friends bridal shower! -Happy!
-My baby brother turned 18! -Happy!
-My boyfriend and his dad officially became American citizens! -Happy!
-My dad took my brother to the Bahamas as a graduation present without me - Sad.
